Servicing Capacity and Constraint Study

The purpose of the Servicing Capacity and Constraint Study is to evaluate the capacity for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems to confirm capacity in response to the current and future needs for these services in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

A water, sanitary and stormwater servicing analysis allows the Municipality to identify servicing needs for areas that are growing and major issues affecting the Strathroy-Caradoc that can have a negative impact on day-to-day activities of residents and business. Identifying servicing needs and solving them can boost economic growth and protect public health and the environment.

    On July 18, 2022, Council endorsed the Servicing Capacity and Constraint Study. The recommendations from the Servicing Capacity and Constraint Study have been used in completing the Municipality's Official Plan Review and subsequent Comprehensive Review projects.

    Over the past year, the Municipality has undertaken a Servicing Capacity and Constraints Study to analyze water, wastewater collection, wastewater treatment and stormwater systems in Strathroy-Caradoc to determine the availability and needs of these systems to accommodate the servicing needs of the Municipality to 2046. This study identifies current capacity and ability to support growth and the infrastructure upgrades required to facilitate it. It sets the stage for a future Servicing Master Plan and will be a key input into the Municipality's subsequent Comprehensive Review process.

    On July 18, 2022, the Servicing Capacity and Constraints Study report will be presented to Municipal Council for endorsement. Click here to view the Council agenda which will be posted in the days before the meeting.

    All comments and questions received will be considered as we finalize the Servicing Capacity and Constraints Study.
