The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is planning improvements to the downtown streetscapes in both Strathroy and Mount Brydges, and we want to hear from you.

In early 2026, Council directed staff to develop a public consultation process to gather feedback from residents, businesses, property owners, and community stakeholders. Your input will help shape the future look and feel of our downtowns.

This consultation focuses only on the streetscape elements of the Downtown Revitalization projects, such as sidewalks, landscaping, street furniture, lighting, and other features that contribute to the appearance, accessibility, and functionality of our downtown spaces.

While the overall Downtown Revitalization project in Strathroy also includes underground water and wastewater infrastructure improvements, those works are not part of this consultation.

Throughout the consultation process, the Municipality will:

  • Gather input from residents, businesses, property owners, and community stakeholders throughout various touchpoints.
  • Review successful downtown revitalization projects from other communities.
  • Identify streetscape design opportunities and best practices.
  • Develop design recommendations based on community feedback.

The information collected will be used to prepare streetscape design recommendations for Council's consideration at the conclusion of the consultation process.

We encourage everyone with an interest in the future of Downtown Strathroy and Downtown Mount Brydges to participate and help shape these important community spaces.
